Sammy Van den Heuvel — scenography

Each space grows within a specific frame that is formed through conversations; with the director, with the choreographer, with the text, the music, the material, with the dramaturg, with the production team, with the artists and builders in the workshops, with the stage technicians. Ultimately, the built space engages in a conversation with the performers, and, through them, in a conversation with the audience.

A requiem for lost things

People. Objects. Moments. Ideals. We all lose them. We recognize the loss of some, but our memory can play tricks on us. You don’t choose what stays with you and what doesn’t. Memories are unreliable, in fact they can even transform and leave you with a different past.

The dancers and acrobats meet each other in parallel worlds. A slender and unusual structure divides the space into different layers.
